• Prada "Trembled Blossoms" movie: motion design, a contemporary communication tool for luxury brands?

Before Louis Vuitton "Super Flat First Love" movie last June, Prada had set the tone early 2008 during the New-York Fashion Week with its "Trembled Blossoms" movie.

A 4:47 delicate animation expressing Prada vision capitalizing on the illustrations of James Jean. Illustrations that have been the new vocable of Prada since then, vehicled in retail environment, fabric and communications (see ad for mobile phone on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9_cUbZPcPc).

Is motion design a new way for luxury brands to share their personality with their audiences?

Strange artistic vision for Prada, isn't it ? It looks more like a Pucci or a Versace movie... In comparison with previous Vuitton's movie, the brand universe seems much less tangible, though very aesthetic and eye-catching. A wild but nice bet ?

Ps : by the way, your blog is so interesting you Frenchie curious & passionated girl ;) ! Just go on !
